Lackawanna Police are investigating after a car crashed into the Cricket Wireless on Abbott Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance, eight people were taken to area hospitals. There is no word on the extent of the injuries at this time.
Witnesses at the scene tell 7 Eyewitness News that some people were pinned up against the wall of the store after the crash.
7 Eyewitness News has several calls into Lackawanna Police for additional information and have yet to hear back.
One man, who was in the store at the time of the crash suffered broken ribs. He says several people are still at ECMC. Witnesses say the driver of the car suffered a medical emergency.
