Niagara Falls Police say a car accident Saturday night caused a cab driver to hit a pole, a parked car and a building.

According to officials, the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 8800 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Police say a 46-year-old woman was driving west on Niagara Falls Boulevard when she hit a taxi cab driven by a 61-year-old man, causing the man to lose control.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center and is being treated for a broken arm and knee, and possible head injuries, according to officials.

Niagara Falls Police say the cab driver initially declined treatment, but was later taken by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to be evaluated for a head injury and knee pain.

The incident is still being investigated and charges are pending.
