Posted

Two students at Canisius College in Buffalo have left the school after an investigation into an incident on campus involving a black doll hanging from a curtain rod in a residence room hall, according to a letter from the school's president.

School officials say photos of the doll hanging were posted on social media when the incident happened in November.

The school says other students involved received sanctions appropriate to their levels of involvement in the incident.

In the letter to the campus, the college's president announced that a bias incident reporting hotline has been created. It states that if any member of the campus community witnesses or becomes aware of an incident involving any form of bias, they are encouraged to call 888-BIAS (2427).
