A Canisius College student has been found dead inside a home in Rochester.
The Rochester Police Department says it is investigating a double homicide on Wellington Avenue.
According to our ABC affiliate WHAM, family members identify one of the victims as Victoria Brooks and the other victim as her mother, Christie Brooks. Family says she was on break from the college.
Canisius College has released a statement on the incident:
"The Canisius College community is profoundly saddened by the deaths of freshman student Victoria Brooks and her mother, Christie Brooks. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to their surviving family members and friends. Grief counseling will be made available to all members of the Canisius College community this coming week."
