A group of high school girls came together to adopt and create a comforting room at the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo for out-of-town families who need a place to stay while a loved one is in the hospital.

"Hugs for Hope" is made up of nine freshman girls, eight from Orchard Park High School and one from Nardin Academy High School. These young women worked together to raise $3000, which was matched by Comforting Hugs Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing care bags to these same families.

With $6000 these high school girls were able to turn their vision into reality. They presented three designs for the room to the Board of Directors at the Ronald McDonald House, who chose the Canalside theme.
