A chase that began in Bryan ended in Stafford after the driver pulled over and surrendered, deputies say.

It happened around 6 a.m. last Thursday. Deputies say they attempted to pull over 25-year-old Richard McKague Jr. but he instead took off. After chasing him through two townships, deputies say McKague pulled over and surrendered without further incident.

McKague only had a small quantity of marijuana on his person, deputies say, and was driving without a license.

He is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign, and unlicensed operator.

He was arraigned in Town of Stafford Court and then taken to the Genesee County Jail on $2,500 bail.
