It's a lover’s holiday and people are going all out: $18.2 billion! That's how much the National Retail Federation projects Americans will spend on their valentine this year. The NRF said more than four billion of that will be spent on jewelry alone, with another two billion dollars will be spent on flowers.
We paid a visit to one florist in Williamsville where it is all hands on deck. “We have a lot of extra drivers on today, probably seven or eight. I lost count. We have plenty of designers, too,” said Buffalo’s Best Flowers Owner, Steve Monaco.
The average person will shell out about $140 this year.
