Two brothers from Texas now admit they helped themselves to more than a million dollars in sales tax.
Ilias Maredia, 52, and Latif Maredia, 50 - both of Stafford, Texas - pleaded guilty in Erie County Court Thursday to grand larceny.
Between 2008 and 2012, the Maredia brothers stole $1,223,837 in sales tax collected at seven gas stations in the Buffalo area.
They face up to 25 years in prison when they are sentenced September 26th.
