The Erie County SPCA is kicking off its "Children's Reading-To-Animals program," and "Vacation Day Camps" this month.

"Tale For Two" is for children ages 6-15. It allows children and young teenagers to read aloud to adoptable animals at the SPCA.

The animals benefit from the socialization and reduced stress levels while children get to work on their literacy and reading skills. It also helps children build self-esteem and confidence.

For $40, parents can register their children for six-week sessions that take place the the SPCA's Harlem Road location on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00 p.m..

Also new this month is the Vacation Day Camps. You can learn more about all the SPCA is offering right now by following this link.
