BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Talk about a big delivery!
La Nova Pizzeria donated dozens of sheet pizzas to ECMC Saturday - enough to feed every health care worker on every shift in the hospital.
Doctors, nurses and support staff at hospitals across Western New York have been working long shifts and long weeks since the COVID-19 crisis began earlier this month, and health experts don't expect the pandemic to peak in the Buffalo area for another 20 to 30 days.
La Nova, which was founded in Tonawanda in 1957, has two locations - on Buffalo's West Side and in Williamsville. In addition to its pizza and wings, the hometown pizzeria is known for its acts of generosity that symbolize the spirit of #BuffaloStrong.
