The Las Vegas Golden Knights postseason-pregame-show is, in a word, epic. The Cirque du Soleil-like act involves arrows and drums, and it's all brought together by a booming British voice.
“The Golden Knights army has vanquished the Kings.”
That voice belongs to Eileen Dugan. Dugan isn't from England. She isn't even from Las Vegas.
She calls Buffalo home.
“There's always a Buffalo connection. We are one degree of separation from everyone,” said Dugan.
After few phone calls and recommendations, the Golden Knights media team chose Dugan to voice all pre-game shows for their team's playoff games. And as the team keeps winning, she gets more work.
“You just read it. And they'll say we need more time between lines because a bunch of knights come out with swords or there is a dragon that comes out of the ceiling,” said Dugan.
This Western New Yorker is very much hoping she'll be the voice of the Golden Knights next season.
