Police have released the name of the man who died in a crash in Buffalo over the weekend.
Officers tried to pull over a vehicle, driven by 21 year old Eddie Hernandez Junior from the Bronx.
Hernandez took off in his Jeep Liberty at a high rate of speed and crashed into a pole.
He died a short time later.
Two passengers were treated and released from ECMC.
Police are investigating if the vehicle was involved in several hit and run incidents just before
Hernandez was a Criminal Justice student at Buffalo-State College.
He was set to graduate in May the crash occurred.
