Buffalo State student arraigned for stabbing

The Buffalo State student arrested for a stabbing and burglary early in the morning on Monday, September 7th appeared in Buffalo City Court Friday morning.

Mohamed Kaba, 22, has been charged with one count first degree assault, two counts burglary and one count fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. He pleaded not guilty.

Judge Debra Givens set Kaba's bail at $50,000 taking into consideration that he's from Yonkers, New York. The judge also honored the two victims request for order of protections.

Kaba allegedly used a box cutter during a fight between two other male Buffalo State students. One of them got nearly 52 stitches after being cut by Kaba. The other student was also injured.

Kaba will be back in court for a felony hearing on September 17th.
