The City of Good Neighbors is sending more help to Texans in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

12 Western New Yorkers are already in Texas staffing shelters and doing distaster assessment. They come from East Amherst, Silver Creek, West Seneca, Strykersville, Lockport, East Aurora, Cheektowaga, Allegany, Depew, Dunkirk and Portageville.

Jay Bonafede, Communications Director of the Western New York Region American Red Cross, departed Friday morning for Houston Texas. Bonafede will act as a press liason, sharing stories of need and relief from the thousands of people seeking shelter.
