Grab your running shoes and head on out the door. Runner's World ranks Buffalo as the 25th best city to take a run.
And why not!? There are a lot of trails and places to choose from in the area. Erie Basin Marina, Canalside, Forest Lawn just to name a few.
"For runners, springtime in Buffalo is heaven. After digging out of a few feet of snow, there is no better way to celebrate the sun than to head to Delaware Park—one of Frederick Law Omstead’s jewels," the website says about Buffalo. Buffalo was ranked 16th in parks index. It's lowest ranking was safety, coming in at 77th.
Runner's World compiled data from 250 cities across the U.S. They then took that data and broke it into five indexes: run, parks, climate, food and safety.
This isn't the first time Runner's World wrote about Buffalo. Back in 2003, the running enthusiast website wrote an in depth article on the city of good neighbors and the best places to run.
