Former Trump campaign aide and long-time Buffalo political consultant Michael Caputo spent a second day answering questions in Washington Wednesday over the Russia investigation.
Caputo met behind closed doors with special counsel Robert Mueller's team as it investigates alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. That team is also looking into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
On Tuesday Caputo met with Senate Intelligence Committee staff investigators as part of their ongoing investigation into the same allegations.
Caputo has had past dealings with various Russian companies and some leaders while running his consulting business, but he denies any wrongdoing. He has complained publicly that the Russia investigation is a waste of time and taxpayer money and has caused him to rack up hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal expenses.
