Law enforcement of all levels, alongside Buffalo Fire Department, Rural Metro and employees from Buffalo Public Schools trained together in an "Active Shooting Drill", hosted at School #6 in Buffalo today.
In light of recent increases in school-related shootings, First Responders and School Officials say they want to be prepared as much as possible to contain these type of situations.
According to Buffalo Police, preparation for this drill took around 7 months and required collaboration from all ends. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the School System says, while this is the first time schools participated in a simulation experience of this magnitude, they are ready.
