Buffalo Police say a pipe bomb scare in the city turned out to be a false alarm, Wednesday.
The bomb squad was called to the parking lot of NU Era, a repossession company on the 100 block of Miami Street. Crews were responding to reports of possible pipe bombs in a vehicle.
According to police, those so-called pipe bombs were actually individual cooper and pvc piping used by a handyman for storage. Several loose wires were also found.
No charges have been filed.
The area has since re-opened.
