Buffalo named 'America's Favorite City'

Buffalo, you're really lookin' good.

Travel + Leisure Magazine has named the Queen City 'America's Favorite City' of 2016.

Grassroots 'Buffalove' helped push the city of no illusions to the top of the list, ahead of cities such as New York City, San Francisco, Nashville and Denver.

The annual survey lets readers rate cities with populations of more than 100,000 on features such as dining, cultural attractions public parks.  More than 400 votes poured in for Buffalo.

"...Lately, Buffalo has been buzzing with life, from the Canalside District, dotted with a restaurants and its huge rink (where, during winter, you can even rent ice bicycles) to the RiverWorks project," the magazine said.

San Antonio came in second in the survey, followed by Providence, Norfolk and Nashville. Albuquerque, Richmond, Knoxville, Raleigh and Forth Worth rounded out the top 10.
