One Western New York family received a precious gift early Christmas morning. At 2 a.m., Amauryell Romero arrived weighing six pounds and eight ounces.
Mom Michelis Romero said the baby arrived a few weeks early but it was a welcomed surprise.
“It’s crazy because now I have to buy a birthday gift and Christmas gifts so we’ll see how it goes,” Romero told 7 Eyewitness News.
Romero already has two little girls at home so this is the first boy for the family.
Nurses at Women and Children’s Hospital say on a typical Christmas Day they have about five babies born per 12 hour shift, and Romero was the first – not only at this hospital but in the city.
“It’s a blessed day,” Romero said.
