Buffalo Police arrested 26-year-old Jasmine Mendez after she allegedly allowed her 7-month-old infant to stay in the care of a homeless man on multiple occasions.
The incident was reported just after 12:30 a.m. Friday morning. According to officials, Mendez is facing a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
Early Friday morning, the child went to Oishei Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators continue to look into the incident.
