The Erie County District Attorney's office announced today 38-year-old Michael Billups has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison and five years post-release supervision.
Back in January, Erie County Sheriff's office narcotics personnel executed a search warrant to inspect Billups' home for illegal narcotics. During the raid, authorities found more than four ounces of cocaine hidden in a fake book and a loaded .38 caliber revolver under the couch.
In June, Billups pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
