A Buffalo man will be spending more than a decade behind bars for starting a multi-million dollar fire at an apartment complex.
According to the District Attorney's Office, 29-year-old Jonathan Jimenez has been sentenced to the maximum of 15 years in jail for starting the damaging fire.
Police say Jimenez broke into an apartment on Lafayette Avenue in March, which was part of a large apartment complex with 36 apartments.
Jimenez started clothes on fire in two different closets. The fire quickly grew and Jimenez ran from the building.
The fire caused millions of dollars worth of damage to the apartment building.
In April, Jimenez pleaded guilty to attempted arson.
