A Buffalo man will spend 35 years in prison for shooting the owner of a Clarence restaurant.

Christopher Boyd robbed and shot 44-year-old Alexander Pozantidis - the owner of Zoe restaurant - as he was leaving the Transit Road restaurant with money at the end of the night in September 2016.

Pozantidis was hit in the arm and chest but survived.

Boyd has a history of committing violent crimes. Prosecutors say he burglarized a home in Buffalo and assaulted the homeowner in July 2016. Later that day, he stole a vehicle from a woman at gunpoint.
