The Erie County District Attorney's Office has announced 29-year-old Robert Proctor has been sentenced to 18 years in prison and 10 years post-release supervision.

In October 2017, Proctor engaged in intercourse with a girl under age 13 at a home in the City of Buffalo. The child immediately reported the incident. Proctor's DNA was found on her body, police say.

He pleaded guilty to first degree rape in February 2018.

He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
