A Buffalo man is headed to prison for killing his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend.
A judge sentenced 47-year-old Hillard Smith Friday in court to 27 2/3 to 33 years in prison.
Smith broke into his former girlfriend's home on North Division Street back in April of 2017. Smith then attacked 42-year-old Justin Johnson with a knife. Johnson later died at ECMC.
A jury convicted Smith on one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree among numerous other charges.
