Buffalo man admits to making child pornography

Posted

A 21-year-old Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.

According to the U.S. District Attorney's Office, in October 2015, Robert Pritchett began using the name “Jess Allen” to talk to a 17-year-old girl from New Jersey, via text messages and online chat messages.

Prosecutors say Pritchett convinced her to travel to New York to live with him.

In November, Pritchett had the 17-year-old engage in prostitution services and sexual activites at a hotel in Tonawanda, and used a smartphone to record it, according to prosecutors.

Officials say Pritchett also engaged in online sexual communicationswith three other minor females.

In June 2014, prosecutors say Pritchett used the app, Kik, to send sexually explicit photographs by a 14-year-old girl from Buffalo.

Prosecutors say a 15-year-old female friend of the other victim went with Pritchett to the Galleria Mall in an effort to get the photos deleted, but while at the mall, the two engaged in sexual acts inside the movie theater and near a loading dock of a department store.

Officials say between November 2013 and March 2014, Pritchett talked with a 15-year-old girl from East Aurora using a video and instant messaging chat app. During that time, the 15-year-old engaged in sexual activity while video chatting and Pritchett saved screen shots of the activity, according to prosecutors.

Pritchett faces a maximum of 30 years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
