A Buffalo man was arraigned Monday on a sex trafficking charge and other related charges.
Erie County district Attorney John Flynn says Derek Harris, 22, was allegedly a part of an extensive sex trafficking operation out of the Boulevard Inn Motel on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst.
Some of the victims were as young as 14, according to the DA. Officials say Harris used the website Backpage.com to negotiate prices for various acts with patrons.
Harris was charged with sex trafficking, criminal sex act in the first degree, and promoting prostitution in the first and second degrees.
Harris pleaded not guilty. His bail was set at $150,000.
If he is convicted of all four charges, Harris faces a maximum of 50 years in prison.
