New Yorkers against gun violence are supporting the cause on Thursday by wearing orange.
June 2 is National Gun Awareness Day, which kicks off Gun Violence Awareness Month in New York State.
Buffalo City Hall was lit in orange Wednesday night to support the cause.
New York is the first state in the country to dedicate a month to ending gun violence.
