Buffalo Firefighters are teaming up with the Buffalo Sabres and SMART, the spinal muscular atrophy research team to find a cure.
Members of Buffalo Professional Firefighters Local 282, past and present Sabres players, Sabretooth and SMART volunteers posted on seven different street corners around Buffalo.
They're collecting donations to fund research for spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic condition that affects muscle development. It affects can affect mucles that allow children to walk, crawl, swallow, hold up their heads and breathe.
