Western New York's first cycle boats are getting ready to hit the water.

Buffalo Cycleboats has a new 31-foot long catamaran, propelled through the water by a rear paddle wheel...powered by you and your friends!

The boat can hold 14 people, 10 at pedal stations and 4 others on bench seating.

Tours last two hours and can take you all the way from the Erie Basin Marina to Buffalo Riverworks.

You can bring your own beer or wine, limited to one bottle of wine for two people or three beers per person. No glass or liquor is allowed. Guests can also bring food to snack on during the tour.

The Buffalo CycleBoat is captained by a U.S. Coast Guard certified operator.

Owner Brandon Bova says he wanted a way for people to access Buffalo's waterfront and already has plans to bring a second vessel to Lake Erie.

You can book tours here.
