Buffalo City Mission spreads holiday cheer

More than 250 volunteers gave up their Christmas morning to help those in need this holiday.

Instead of unwrapping gifts at home, the volunteers came out to the Buffalo City Mission to help pack-up and deliver more than 3,500 meals to people in Western New York.

"A lot of these individuals don't have families that are in this area and our delivery teams will be the only person that will be coming to their door today to encourage them and to give them an uplifter this holiday," said Aubrey Calhoun of the Buffalo City Mission.

"Wanted to give back to families who haven't been as fortunate as we have and I think this is a great organization and a great chance to do it on a holiday," said Bethany Black, a volunteer.
