A Buffalo business owner is hoping his random act of kindness will inspire others to do the same.
Ed Schubauer owns Absolute Auto Glass. His company repairs broken windshields. He had been repairing a windshield on a street in Buffalo when he said he came across a family less fortunate and wanted to help.
Schubauer said he watched four young boys played catch outside with an old sneaker. He said after talking to them for a while, he decided to buy them a football, basketball, and a basket hoop.
“It's the least I could do maybe to make their day and because they were such respectful kids, you know, after talking to them for a little bit, they made an impression on me,” Schubauer said. “So I felt that if I could help them out maybe it would help to keep them from getting into trouble.”
Schubauer plans to deliver the balls and hoop later this week. He hopes by sharing his story, it might just encourage others to do something nice for a stranger the next time an opportunity presents itself.
