The Buffalo Bills haven't made the playoffs in 17 years, so a local brewery is doing something to help keep fans interested.

"We decided to kinda spice things up for the upcoming season," Thin Man Brewery owner Mike Shatzel tells 7 Eyewitness News. "My partner in the restaurant, Rocco Termini, came up with the idea to give a car away."

The 1989 Alfa Romero Spider Convertible has been parked on Elmwood ave in front of the brewery for several weeks. The car initially received parking tickets from the Buffalo Police Department, but after Thin Man applied for a permit, the car is now legally on display in front of Thin Man.

Hundreds of people are already registered for the contest, but even more entries are expected as the season inches closer.

"The 0-3 start hasn't helped, but I think no one pays much attention to the regular season," said Shatzel. "I think once the last pre season game is over and people get their fantasy drafts done the excitement starts. We expect a lot of people to come in and try to win the car."

Fans have until kickoff of the Bills opener against the New York Jets to register, and more details are available at the Brewery, located at 492 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.
