Buffalo Airport to conduct emergency drill Saturday

Don't be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles swarming the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Saturday.

The airport will be conducting an emergency drill required by the Federal Aviation Administration at 6 p.m.

They'll be practicing what to do if an aircraft lands at the airport in bad weather conditions.  Organizers say the idea is to test and practice the airport's emergency plan.

State Police, TSA, FBI, NFTA Transit Police, Airport Airfield and Terminal Operations, and multiple first response emergency teams from other local municipalities will participate in the drill.
