Police found more than 100 pounds of marijuana, handguns, and illegal immigrants during raids of two homes in the City of Buffalo Thursday.

The Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit, Buffalo Police, and U.S. Homeland Security agents executed search warrants at homes at 42 and 44 Thatcher Avenue.  During the raid, deputies found a number of plastic bags filled with marijuana, five five-gallon buckets of marijuana, two loaded handguns and a large scale.

Police arrested three people during the raid.  41-year-old Michelle Palmer, 25-year-old Sanjay Cousins, and Nkomo Hepburn are all facing charges including criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.  Additionally, police say Hepburn and Palmer were in the United States illegally, and that one had previously been deported to Jamaica.

All three were taken to the Erie County Holding Center.  Hepburn and Palmer are facing federal charges and deportation once their local criminal proceedings are through.
