Two brothers have admitted to killing a man as he pushed a shopping cart full of cans down the street.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 20-year-old German Rosado-Thomas and 16-year-old Alvin Marrero pleaded guilty to manslaughter after killing 54-year-old James McCloskey on Arkansas Street in Buffalo last August.
Authorities say the brothers attempted to rob McCloskey, then pistol-whipped him and shot him in the abdomen, leaving him to die in the street. Investigators say the incident was caught on a private surveillance camera.
Rosado-Thomas and Marrero are set to be sentenced in May and face up to 25 years in prison.
