Buffalo Police are investigating after a man was found in the middle of the street laying in a pool of his own blood.
Police say they responded to a call for a man down at 7 a.m. Wednesday and found a 57-year-old Buffalo man.
According to officers, he was walking on Clinton Street on the sidewalk and cross Weiss Street.
Police do not know at this time if he was hit by a car that fled the scene or if he suffered a medical event that caused him to fall.
The man was taken to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance and is listed in critical condition.
