It's Easter egg hunting season and Inspire Dental Group put together an Easter egg hunt at Coca-Cola Field for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo.
The hunt began one hour before the afternoon Bisons game against the Rochester Red Wings and was also open to the public. Kids combed through the stadium searching for the 1,400 plastic eggs hidden in cup holders, under seats and out by the food stands.
One group from the Boys & Girls Club was striking out. Between the dozen or so kids, not a single egg had been found.
Until one girl in the group found the egg of all eggs.
Makaomar saw a blue egg tucked behind a banner and opened it up to find a piece of paper.
"Congratulations!" the paper read. "You have found the Inspire Dental Group Grand Prize Egg!"
The group screamed with excitement as Makaomar jumped up and down. Stephanie Arroyo, the Marketing Manager of Inspire Dental Group, walked over to give Makaomar a hug and her new iPad mini.
"It's incredible that we could help a child that might not have had the option to get an iPad mini," Arroyo said. "It's so heart warming that we can do this for them."
When Makaomar was asked what she was going to do first with her new iPad mini, her answer wasn't to download her favorite app or game.
"I'm going to give it to my little nephews and nieces."
"That was so great!" Arroyo said about Makaomar finding the grand prize egg and deciding to give the iPad mini to her nephews and nieces. "It took so long for the egg to be found. Good thing she was there!"
"All of us at Inspire Dental are committed to being involved in and giving back to our community, and we're thrilled to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo and provide these experiences for deserving area youth," said Inspire Dental Managing Partner Ron Sadler.
The Buffalo Bisons also donated 100 tickets so the children and Boys & Girls Club staff members could stay after the Easter egg hunt for the game.
