Pastor Eric Johns of the Buffalo Dream Center and Boxes of Love hosted a toy and food distribution event for families in need Saturday.
Celebrating 20 years of giving, families received toys, food, hats, and gloves to brighten their holiday season.
The event was held at the Belle Center on Buffalo's west side.
The Boxes of Love campaign's goal is to serve 3,000 families but they need some help to do so.
"As we end our first week of distribution we are still in need of about 2,000 toys for the neighborhoods that we will be helping next week," Johns said. "About five to six hundred families will be given Boxes of Love this weekend, but we still need many more toys."
