Someone decided to take the longtime St. Bonaventure - Canisius basketball rivalry into their own hands.
St. Bonaventure junior forward Courtney Stockard will be wearing a different number in Wednesday night's game at Canisius after someone stole his game jersey from the team hotel in downtown Buffalo.
St. Bonaventure officials tell 7 Eyewitness News that team jerseys were laid out in a hotel hallway on Wednesday afternoon for players to pick up. That's when someone grabbed Stockard's #11 game jersey. Stockard will now be forced to wear backup #30 against the Griffs.
St. Bonaventure and Canisius will meet for the 166th time on Wednesday night. The schools have played at least once per season every year since 1947
