UPDATE: The boil water order for Wellsville was lifted Friday morning.
ORIGINAL STORY: Residents in the Village of Wellsville are being asked to boil their water.
Officials say regular testing found signed of Coliform bacteria in drinking water.
These microbes in drinking water can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms and may pose a special health risk for infants, elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems.
Officials suggest boiling water for the next two (2) days until the problem is fixed or the sample results come back negative.
