New York State Police recovered a body Friday afternoon from the lower Niagara River.
Police were notified of a male body floating along the shoreline of the river along the Whirlpool State Park Gorge Trail.
The Niagara County Coroner arrived on scene and transported the body to the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office.
