The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority (BMHA) has announced that the waiting list for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers will be open from April 17 through April 21, and will have a new online application process.
According to the City of Buffalo, the Housing Choice Voucher program provides rental assistance to individuals and families who meet eligibility guidelines by paying a portion of rent directly to private rental property owners.

Those who are interested are able to apply 24 hours a day and applicants will be required to have a valid, working email address.
BMHA says they will use a randomized computer process for all applications received in order to select 4,000 applicants for placement on the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list.
