You can thank Frank’s RedHot and that 'blasphemous' tweet for Western New York's latest local craze.
The 1st annual National Blue Cheese Dressing Day will take place this Monday, July 16th here in Western New York.
In honor of National Bue Cheese Dressing Day, the Buffalo Bisons will induct mascot and WCC racer Blue Cheese into the Buffalo Wing Hall of Flame at Coca-Cola Field Monday in between innings. The Bisons play the Norfolk Tides at 7:05 p.m.
The Electric Tower will also be lit up in blue on Monday. Restaurants across Buffalo are encouraged to take part in National Blue Cheese Dressing Day by offering special blue cheese items and or discounts.
Two months ago, Frank’s RedHot tweeted on National Ranch Dressing Day “Buffalo Wings + Ranch = two peas in a pod." Many Buffalonians took to social media and voiced their opinions.

A few days later, Frank’s RedHot took to social media and said they were inspired to start a movement realizing that there was no National Blue Cheese Dressing Day.

Many twitter followers responded to the post with the date "716 Day." Both Frank's RedHot and Wing King Drew Cerza worked in collaboration to make National Blue Cheese Dressing Day become a reality.
