Blizzard conditions didn't stop hockey fans from attending the WJC

Posted

The road conditions in downtown Buffalo were not ideal for fans to attend the World Junior Championship. A four hour blizzard was howling while hockey teams battled inside the KeyBank Center.

Earlier in the day, the weather played a factor for Canadian fans. After the puck dropped in their Quarterfinal matchup, some Canadians, late because of the snow, ran to KeyBank Center.

Come hockey time for the USA, the snow stopped falling. Fans we spoke to say a blizzard wouldn't have stopped them from rooting for their team.
