The Buffalo Bisons announced enhanced security measures for all events at Coca-Cola Field beginning Opening Day on April 6.

Anyone entering the field will now have to go through a metal detector. There will also be a no re-entry policy once a person has entered the ballpark. This includes anyone who wishes to leave the park to smoke or use tobacco-related products.

"We are extremely proud of our long-standing reputation of providing our fans with a safe and comfortable ballpark experience each and every time they come to Coca-Cola Field," said Vice President and General Manager of the Bisons Mike Buczkowski. "We are taking these steps to further ensure our guests can fully enjoy the fun and exciting atmosphere of Bisons baseball in 2017 and for many years to come."

Gates for Bisons games will still be open 60 minutes before the first pitch, but is subject to change.

Fans will be required to remove their phones and cameras from their pockets before going through the metal detectors and may be wanded if deemed necessary after walking through.
