A popular Western New York dip is a favorite across New York State.
Bison French Onion Dip won top honors in a dip competition at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse earlier this month.
The contest kicked off Dairy Day at the fair.
Bison French Onion Dip took home first place in the "Dairy Dips" category, and Bison's newest flavor, Bison Bacon French Onion Dip was honored with an "Award of Excellence" in the same category.
The dips weren't the only Bison products to win favor.
Bison Lowfat Cottage Cheese won the Gold medal in its category, as did Bison Sour Cream, with Bison Nonfat Cottage Cheese also receiving another Award of Excellence.
The winners were selected by a panel of judges from state government, academia and retail, who rated the products based on appearance, texture and taste, and scored them on a 100 point value scale.
