For the first time since his late-August press conference addressing calls for his resignation following a 7 Eyewitness News I-Team investigation, Bishop Richard J. Malone will publicly address the media Monday.

The Diocese of Buffalo issued a statement Friday inviting members of the media to a media-only press conference Monday Nov. 5th at 2:30 p.m. at Infant of Prague Parish in Cheektowaga.

The Bishop will address concerns regarding the abuse of minors and adults by members of the clergy as well as other issues.

The press conference will be carried live on 7ABC, the WKBW Facebook page and the WKBW app.

The hour long media-only event will be held after the Bishop addresses priests and transitional deacons in regards to the clergy sex abuse scandal and will include a question and answer period.

More information on the clergy sex abuse scandal can be found in our three part I-Team investigation on the matter, part one can be viewed here, part two can be viewed here, and part three can be viewed here.
