Biohazard bag found on sidewalk on Buffalo's west side

Quest Diagnostics is investigating after a woman found a biohazard bag containing samples on Buffalo's west side.

According to the woman, the items were found on the ground near Hampshire Street and Albany Street.

A spokesperson from Quest Diagnostics tells 7 Eyewitness News that they are aware of the incident and are investigating.

Quest Diagnostics has issued a statement saying:

"We are aware of the issue, are conducting an investigation, and have contacted the physician’s office. Based on our preliminary findings, our records indicate that we did not receive or pick up the sample found earlier this week. We have notified the local law enforcement authorities and are continuing our investigation."

Our 7 Eyewitness News reporter was out getting video of the area and on her own found two more bags.
